APPI, a contract manufacturer supplying the aviation, aerospace, and defense industry, was given notice by their largest customer that half of their business was being resourced to a new supplier in China. IVC's fact based research on the client's supply chains and specifier chains indicated opportunities in undeveloped markets and led to a very specific marketing plan. Implementation of the plan included site visits to prospects, domestic and international communications, and the development of a manufacturers' rep organization. Sixty days after program implementation, in a market of intense supplier competition and consolidation, APPI was awarded a contract with a key supplier in a previously untapped market. |
